We are seeking an Accounting Associate:

The Accounting Team is seeking a highly engaged, experienced, self-motivated, career minded individual to join a team of professionals dedicated to improving the lives of our members, their families, and our communities. Ideal candidate will be:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Effectively and accurately performs general accounting transactions to include wire transfers, mileage requests, intercompany transactions, etc.;

  • Ensures that accounting records, journal entries and reports are in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and federal credit union accounting guidelines;

  • Consistently assists in entering accounts payable transactions;

  • Provides assistance in completing general ledger reconciliations in a timely manner and ensuring proper balance is maintained;

  • Reviews ATM/PTM transactional history as needed for member support and maintenance;

  • Prepares Relationship Center coin/currency and ATM/PTM orders;

  • Efficiently monitors, resolves, and processes inquiries related to member accounts to include payroll, insurance information, unknown checks, etc.;

  • Receptively collaborates with and provides accounting support to internal teams and relationship centers; and

  • Enthusiastically participates in Credit Union activities.

Experience and Skills:

Job Qualifications:

  • AAS in Accounting with a minimum of 1-2 years of related accounting experience;

  • Exceptional written, organizational skills, positive solutions focused approach with an impeccable attention to detail;

  • Strong focus on internal and external member customer service;

  • Be independent but also be able to thrive in a team environment; and

  • Strong proficiency with PC spreadsheet programs and other financial software.
